what are your school hours?
With different schedules and programs offered at Blooming House, families can find the right fit to their daily schedule needs. We offer the option of 2-day (Tue-Thu), 3-day (M-W-F) or 5-day per week programs as well as different schedule options; Half-Day (8:00AM - 12:00PM), Full-Day (8:00AM - 3:00PM), Before-Care for early drop-offs (7:30AM - 8:00AM) and Extended-Day for pickups any time between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
are snacks and lunches provided?
Blooming House provides all children with a morning snack and one for the afternoon (3:00 PM) if enrolled in the Extended-Day program. Children enrolled in the full-day or extended-day programs are to bring a nutritious lunch (that does not require reheating) in reusable plastic and/or glass containers that are easy to open and close for the child.
do you have tours of your preschool?
We offer individual tours of our school Monday through Friday. Feel free to use this link to schedule yours today! If you’d like to schedule a tour outside of available times, please call or email us to find an alternative suitable time.
how old does my child need to be to enroll?
Your child must be at least 2 years and 6 months old at the time of their first day at Blooming House Montessori. You may join our Waitlist and/or submit enrollment forms in advance to secure your spot.
does my child need to be potty trained to enroll?
Yes, all children must be potty-trained prior to attending Blooming House. Nonetheless, we know accidents may happen and therefore invite all children to use the restroom multiple times a day.
how soon can my child start?
Given availability, your child may start attending Blooming House Montessori at any point during the school year.
what is your teacher-student ratio?
Our two Montessori environments have capacity for 15 children with 2 teachers each.
what will be the age range of students in my child's class?
One of the key elements of a traditional Montessori environment is a multi-aged group. Our Montessori environments will range with children from 2.5 years old through kindergarten.
is there nap time? if so, what is the schedule?
Yes, all children will have scheduled “nap/quiet time" after lunch, regularly starting around 12:45 PM. There is no need to pack a pillow/blanket as napping cods are provided by Blooming House.
what qualifications do your teachers hold?
Both of our Montessori Head-Teachers hold BAs in Early Childhood Education, and Montessori accreditation by the American Montessori Society (AMS) as well as the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).
does blooming house offer financial assistance?
Yes! We work alongside the YMCA Childcare Resource Service to help families who qualify pay for childcare services. Contact the San Diego County Centralized Eligibility List (CEL) at 1-800-521-0560 or visit www.childcaresandiego.com to learn about the enrollment process and eligibility requirements.
